The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

Title:  The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Author: Mark Twain
Review by: Miss S. (5th Grade)

Do you like adventure? Humor? Mystery?  In Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer you get all of these things in one book.  Whether Tom is whitewashing a fence or trying to catch a murderer, this book is a wonderful classic that will keep you entertained from the first page to the last.  Twain writes in the style of language used in the 1860s, which may be difficult to understand at times and cause you to slow down your reading, but it's worth it!  This book comes in several different versions, from the original to simplified readers, so find the one that's right for you!  I would recommend this book for anyone in fifth grade or older.
